I had never heard of Lionel Penrose before, but his work was intersting. I bet he would have loved RepRap, shame he isn't around any more. Read up on him over at his wiki page.
Wouldn't this be a wonderful tool to teach the concept of replication without intelligence in schools?
Anyway back to printing, thanks for indulging me.

i think a person could reprap some of those, i wonder if there is any digrams for those out there. they look fairly simple not sure about part counts though.
ReplyDeleteInteresting Video. I'm wondering if the Reprap could reproduce itself as such. I doubt it, but it would be interesting. It would be like the main "A" reprap prints parts and attaches them to a parts of "B" that attach to A, then detach when the machine is ready. Interesting thought for the RepRap project indeed.

Many of the objects are diagrammed in the paper linked. I didn't see the one about the charged blue-white-blue thing. That one looked the most interesting.
